ABOUT CHRIS
My personal path to fitness has taken many twists and turns, including a few dead ends. Stuff I’d like to help you avoid.
I’ve worn a few labels… The chunky kid label growing up, overweight young dad in my early 20s, skinny vegan yoga runner guy in my late 20s before finally, at 29, joining my first gym and finding resistance training. After a few months I was like… “What are these lumps between my shoulders and elbows?” (Hellooo, Biceps 💪). I was hooked. I devoured all the knowledge I could get on how the process worked, got my Exercise Science degree, started working as a personal trainer, and haven’t looked back.
My own training wasn’t ideal to start out, not by a long shot. But the combo of weights and protein shakes did help me pack on some much needed muscle. In 2007 I found Crossfit and again, dove in head first. I got fitter than I’d ever been, but eventually started to get bit by the injury bug. A shoulder here, a back there…. Not to mention, between Zone, Paleo, Whole 30, IIFY), and other wacky diets, my relationship with food devolved toward disorder and confusion. Now I take The Middle Path, and practice a few tested principles that work, while avoiding the sensational trends.
I enjoy working with clients who can relate. Folks who are tired of yo-yoing between overly complicated diets and workouts. Who are ready to give up the idea of a magic bullet and get down to basics. I provide solutions for anyone to improve their weight, health, and overall well being through a sustainable approach to diet and exercise, using fundamental principles that work. Strategies that don’t rely on the elimination of any specific foods, endless hours in the gym, or forgoing a social life. My mission is to educate and inspire people to become their healthiest, strongest, and fittest selves, and part ways with autonomy to stick with it long term.
Your forever approach to diet and exercise should be one that’s free of restrictive rules, and encourages you to eat and move healthily so you can achieve your ideal weight, increased energy, improved performance and more!
